De-Clutter and De-Stress!

2018 has been a whirlwind of events for me and here in Michigan spring is approaching. Every spring I like to remove items and get rid of things that I dont need and to purge.

De-cluttering is the best most effective way for me to lower my stress level and clear my mind. Facts show that when you de-clutter, mentally you feel lighter! Who wouldn’t want to feel like that.

So today I decided to go through everything in my apartment and separate the things that I need and the things that I don’t need, and a maybe pile.

If you need help de-cluttering your space consider these things:

  1. Donate your gently used clothes and shoes to donation centers for the less fortunate. My favorites include #Goodwill and #TheSalvationArmy
  2. Go through your pantry, if you have excess no-perishables, try donating them to a food bank. Here in Detroit, Gleanors and Capuchin are great options
  3. Deeply cleanse and clean all counters, table tops, floors, appliances etc.
  4. Call you friends to help if needed!

They say cleanliness is next to godliness, and for me personally the removal of all things excess or necessary is extremely rewarding.
